Wonder Woman redesign

This is my Wonder Woman costume redesign for Weekly Challenge.

One thing that has always bugged me about Wonder Woman is that her costume was very 'patriotic' looking...if you were American. In fact, I had seen some people complaining about WW losing her 'patriotism' when Jim Lee redesigned her costume in the comic books.

The truth of the matter is that Wonder Woman is an Amazon. A warrior race based on Greek history. With that in mind, I decided to design a costume that made her look like a warrior AND a Greek character.

I made her chest ornament a two headed Byzantine eagle which is a symbol used in Greek Orthodox Churches and on the Hellenic Army coat of arms.

I tried using the Greek 8 sided star for the skirt area but it just didn't look right. I stuck to normal star shape but instead of emblazoning it with stars, I only used 7 stars to represent the Pleiades (the Seven Sisters.)

I only have time to do the flat colours for this one. May revisit the image and fully render it.

P.S: This was like the 4th redraw of the costume. This one, I'm pretty happy with.
